Common questions.

Everything you need to know before you arrive.

Pets & policies

The basics.

Are the cabins pet-friendly?

Most of our cabins are pet-friendly. We welcome dogs and will let you know any specifics for the cabin you're booking — yard size, any restrictions, what to expect. We leave dog treats too.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 4:00 PM, check-out at 11:00 AM. If the cabin is open, we're happy to arrange early check-in or late check-out — just reach out ahead of time.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancellations 14+ days before check-in get a full refund. Within 14 days: 50% refund. If something unexpected comes up, reach out directly — we'll work with you.

Do you offer discounts for longer stays or groups?

Yes. We offer group rates for 3+ nights and larger parties. Drop us a note with your dates and party size and we'll put a number together.

Is direct booking better than Airbnb?

Direct means you're talking to us, not a platform. No service fees stacked on top, and if anything comes up during your stay you call or text our team directly. We also list on Airbnb — but direct is usually cheaper and more personal.

The stay itself

What to expect.

What's stocked when we arrive?

We stock the cabins like family is coming: coffee, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, fresh linens, and towels. Full kitchens have cookware and utensils. The Fort Wilderness cabins have kitchenettes with a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker.

Can we use the fire pit?

Absolutely — it's one of the best parts. All active cabins have a fire pit or fire ring. We leave firewood for your first night. Basic rules: never leave it unattended, fully extinguish before turning in.

Background

The Disney question.

Are these really Disney Fort Wilderness cabins?

Yes. Three of our Florida cabins and all three Georgia cabins are authentic retired Disney Fort Wilderness cabins — the same pine-walled, screened-porch design that ran at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for decades. When Disney retired the fleet, we purchased several directly from the resort, hauled them home, and restored them. The pine walls and that slow-Friday-night feel are the real thing.

Getting here

Locations.

How far are the Georgia cabins from Atlanta and Florida?

Cordele sits right on I-75, roughly 2.5 hours south of Atlanta and 2.5 hours north of the Florida state line. Lake Blackshear is 15 minutes west. Great for a road-trip stopover or a full weekend from either direction.

How far are the Florida cabins from Jacksonville and the beach?

Callahan is in Nassau County, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Jacksonville. Fernandina Beach (Amelia Island) is roughly 30 minutes east. Disney World is about 2 hours south via I-95. Close enough for a day trip, far enough to actually feel away.
